I didn't learn to crochet as an adult - my grandmother taught me when I was a child. I was (and still am) also a Toronto Maple Leafs fan so I wanted my favourite bear (named Rupert) to have a Leafs sweater. I don't remember how old I was when I made it, but not bad for a kid, amirite?
For the record, I named him after the cartoon, and Family Guy ripped me off.
