Nest Ball
I'm not sure if the shape of the stripes truly reflects what the Nest Ball is supposed to look like, but I figured it was good enough. More info here.
Heal Ball
This ball was probably the most challenging one I've made, and I'm quite proud of it! It's my second attempt, the first one did not turn out. More info about Heal Balls here.
Purple Yoshi Egg
Since I ended up selling both Yoshi eggs I've made so far, I wanted one for myself, and in my favourite colour. I bought this interesting yarn that reflects light in an interesting way. Unfortunately, the thickness of the yarn caused the spots to be smaller than I'd like, this egg could use either larger or more spots. Oh well, next time.
Ultra Ball
This one's a classic. I wasn't super confident about accomplishing the yellow part, but I think it turned out alright. More info about Ultra Balls here.
Pink Yoshi Egg
I wanted to take another crack at a Yoshi egg, this time with pink spots. This one turned out wwaayy better than the last.

Another Pokéball
The other Pokéball my good friend requested was just a plain, ol' Pokéball. You can really see the improvement on the sewing, eh?
Another Luxury Ball
I told a good friend that I would make him a couple of Pokéballs for his birthday. Unfortunately, I missed the date, but I did get them done! This is the first, a Luxury Ball.
Level Ball
This is the first time I tried to glue non-white fabric to a ball. The glue soaked through and gave it....not an ideal look. But alas, this is my Level Ball. Link here.
Sport Ball
Wow, totally forgot how long it's been since I've updated this blog. Well, here I am. This is a Sport Ball - just like a regular Pokéball, 'cept with an S on it. Click here for reference.

King Kong's Vest
I'm really not good at remembering how old I was, but again, I was a child. All I wanted was a stuffed monkey for my birthday, monkeys were my favourite animal. At some point after getting King Kong, I decided he needed a shirt so I crocheted him a vest. I think I chose not to do the arms because I was worried single crochet would be too stiff and they would no longer bend, but who knows for sure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Rupert's Sweater
I didn't learn to crochet as an adult - my grandmother taught me when I was a child. I was (and still am) also a Toronto Maple Leafs fan so I wanted my favourite bear (named Rupert) to have a Leafs sweater. I don't remember how old I was when I made it, but not bad for a kid, amirite?
For the record, I named him after the cartoon, and Family Guy ripped me off.
Net Ball
I decided to start taking pictures of the Pokéballs at an angle. This is the Net Ball (more info here). I'm hating sewing less as I do it more. I can't believe I've only made 38% of the Pokéballs from the core set, I've still got a lot of work on my hands.

Heavy Ball
You can't appreciate this ball from this picture - I'm starting to think I should take these pics on a 3/4 bias. Anyway, it's the Heavy Ball, as seen here. I swear, the two blue buttons on the back are larger and poofier, but you just can't see it at this angle.
Luxury Ball
I know that the stripes on the Luxury Ball don't line up QUITE perfectly, but I'm pretty happy with it regardless - the way the Pokeballs are crocheted, it would be really hard to avoid this. More info on these balls here.

Another Master Ball!?
After I showed a friend from work my first Master ball, his eyes lit up and he asked if he could have it. He paid me in advance for a Pokéball, so how could I not oblige?
But then I didn't have a Master ball for my own collection, so I figured I had better make another one. I tried to use the first ball as a learning experience, although ultimately I'm not sure which one I'm happier with.

Safari Ball
This was an interesting one, and to be honest, a picture really doesn't do it justice. I made a camouflage pattern by alternating between green, dark green and tan in random lengths. I used a D6 to decide next colour and length as I went to create a truly unique ball.
I tried to compensate for the thinness of the black yard by doing an extra row, I'm thinking it's a little too big this time >.<
More info on Safari ball here.

Park Ball
I decided to take a break and make a simpler ball - the Park Ball. This guy has a 100% catch rate, but only in the Pal Park. More info here.
Master Ball
This is the most complex ball I've tried to make so far. Long story short, I had a mishap after purchasing black yard and may have thinned it out a bit, so I'm not at all happy with the black ring around the white button. I'm also not super happy with the M, I don't have the delicate touch to cut tiny M's out and place them, it seems.
On the bright side, I'm getting better at stitching, I'm pretty happy with the magenta spots, although I definitely need to work on my symmetry. More info about Master ball here.

Great Ball
This particular Pokeball was a little harder and involved more of my favourite activity - sewing. I done goofed and accidentally used orange thread instead of red, but I think the overall effect is still there. More info about Great balls here.
Cherish Ball
I don't know if I've ever actually seen one of these in the game, I haven't ever gone to an event. Some Pokemon that are given away at events are contained in Cherish balls, and that's the only way to gain one. I wonder what this one contains...
Anyway, here's more info on Cherish balls.
Premier Ball
With the same catch rate as a regular ball, but fancier looking, the Premier ball is a gift given when one purchases 10 balls. This is my second Pokeball project, and slowly my sewing skills are improving. This is probably one of my favourite balls! More info here.
Original Pokeball
My first Pokeball - the original. My sewing is still awful. For more information about the Pokeball, click here.

First Green Yoshi Egg
This was my first ever attempt at amigurumi - a standard Yoshi egg. I learned from this experience: how to crochet magic circles, making amigurumi isn't so hard, and I FREAKIN' HATE sewing. I'm also bad at sewing, but in my defence, I learned only as a child and haven't really practised the art.
Face of Anon Blanket
I wanted to try an even more complex pattern, and used Mr. Fawkes as my inspiration this time. Please keep in mind that the afghan/blanket is on my bed so some of the face is a little distorted. I actually used a 20 colour palette on this one, biasing heavily on blues, greens and purples. It didn't turn out quite as awesome as I expected, but I'm still relatively proud!
Smoke da Weed Blanket
I wanted to make a blanket with a more complex pattern, and one that would make me smile when I look at it. I threw in a splash of red for contrast, and again, all of the colours were randomly chosen from a palette.
My Pink Camo Heart Blanket
This is my first attempt at an actual shape, as opposed to alternating colours on rows. I tried to get a camouflage effect by randomly switching between a palette of colours. The length of each row. plus the selected colour, was chosen using a 6-sided dice.
Caesar Non Supra Grammaticos Blanket
For my third afghan/blanket, I wanted to try and find beauty in chaos. I found a Latin phrase that I liked (Caesar Non Supra Grammaticos), converted it into binary ASCII and used that for my pattern. Admittedly, it is a bit of a mouthful to explain to people that it's the binary ASCII encoding of the Latin translation of "the Emperor is not above the grammarians."
Joker Fibonacci Blanket
This is my second blanket/afghan project, I based the size of the stripes off of the Fibonacci sequence.
Brown and White Striped Blanket
This is my first afghan/blanket project. I used the colours of my dog as inspiration. It's all single stitch and freakin' huge.
